Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party
This “berry cute” Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party, styled by Jessie of A Stylish Affair By Jessie, is like stepping into Strawberry Short Cake’s whimsical world beneath the strawberry patch!
Jessie started planning her daughter’s Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party six months ago. She knew exactly what she wanted. Her favorite character from the show is the pink cat, Custard. So, while she wanted the party to be inspired by Strawberry Shortcake, she really wanted it to be a pink cat birthday party. She also had another request: rhinestones on EVERYTHING! Jessie bedazzled just about anything she could: the forks, the menu cards, etc. Just about everything had at least one rhinestone on it!
The next big task was the birthday girl’s cake! She watches Cake Boss and knows her cakes. She wanted a round, 2-tier (Mom talked her out of 3) cake, covered in fondant. She spent an entire Saturday afternoon on Pinterest and Google Images deciding on the perfect cake. “We were so blessed to have the most amazing cake baker. She really listened to my soon to be 4-year-old. She treated her like a VIP client and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated it. Most people don’t understand how much of a vision my little one has”, said Jessie.
A beautiful pink and green tablescape was designed for the birthday girl and her “berry special” friends.
An adorable strawberry banner and pinwheel decorations added to the whimsical details.
Cookies and cupcakes were enjoyed by all!
The pink cat cookies were an adorable and yummy addition to the table.
Cupcakes in fun wrappers were topped with pretty Strawberry Shortcake printables.
Strawberry shortcake for dessert was a must-have at this party!
They decided to set up a popcorn bar in honor of the birthday girl’s favorite snack. Guests had the choice of caramel, kettle corn, butter flavor or white cheddar. They scooped their popcorn into their very own doily cone.
The cookie decorating station was a huge hit!
Jesse set up a mini strawberry pinata in the yard.
For the entertainment, Jessie set up a bean bag toss. They hired the most talented face painter! “She really was not your average face painter. The children’s faces looked incredible! Not only were the kids happy, their parents were impressed as well”, said Jessie.
For the favors, each child got their own set of cat ears and guests also received a miniature cupcake.
