Soft and Feminine First Communion Party

First Communions are such a beautiful rite of passage and a big milestone in a little girl’s life. It’s a tradition that many families pass down and Madison and her family were no different! Madison loves all things pretty and creative, so a party planned to perfection was well-deserved to honor this young lady’s special day. Madison is extra lucky because her aunt happens to be wonderful with designs and helped to create the wonderful celebration for her First Communion. This event was gorgeous and there is no better theme for a little girl than a Soft and Feminine First Communion Party!

Many religious events focus on white and ivory because of them obviously being pure in nature. But the soft pinks that accented the flowers on the tablescape, designed by Karma Flowers, were serene and offered the softness that was desired. Set on soft pink crinkle linens were beautiful mercury vases filled with lush florals of peonies, cherry blossoms, roses, ranunculus and hanging amaranthus, along with tea lights, custom coordinating menu cards, and place cards. Pinterest always helps to inspire these types of events, but this Auntie knew all along what type of look she was going for!

Entrée choices included sweet garlic French breast of chicken with a Sonoma Riesling champagne grape sauce or ginger and cider marinated pork loin with apricot tamari glaze. Both entrees were served with chef’s selection of seasonal accompaniments. Gorgeous!

The guest of honor was surprised with a full candy and dessert bar by MLShaughnessy Designs that included some of Madison’s favorite treats! How exciting! Guests were able to fill their bags with various sweets to enjoy on their rides home. The candy and sweets table was gorgeous, with a custom printable that read “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” from Philippians 4:13 and a custom thank you sign that was displayed in a rhinestone frame.

Designed in pale pink and ivory metallic cardstock by MLShaughnessy Designs, guests were invited to the celebration with a classic back pocket style invitation that featured flourish detailing that cascaded down the side of the invitation. Two enclosure cards were neatly displayed in the back pocket for guests to find their way to The Oyster Point Hotel, while a thick ivory satin ribbon embellishment tied on the front completed the overall look.
