Fall is here and you know what that means …. football! Game day in my house gets pretty serious! We are a big Philadelphia Eagles family and love to watch the games together! We get our Eagles jerseys on and pig out on delicious food with family and friends! Every time the Eagles make a touchdown we all chant E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles! Having people over every week to the watch the game can get pretty expensive, so I’m sharing 5 Budget-Friendly Football Party Ideas!
Hosting a football party at your home can put a dent in your wallet. Here are 5 tips that will help you throw a budget-friendly game day gathering:
1. Make it a pot luck. Food is essential for any party. Ask your guests to bring a favorite game day dish. This takes the burden off the host because they won’t have to buy all the food or even cook it! Our favorite game day food is Tyson Any’Tyzers.
2. If you’re anything like me you love to decorate for any party! Check out Wal-mart or your local dollar stores for some inexpensive decorations. I found these fun football plates at Wal-mart. They were a great size to hold a variety of food! You can also look online for free football printables and decor.
3. Alcohol can also be very expensive and adds up quickly. Ask quests to bring their favorite beer or wine.
5. Watch for sales and use coupons. If you have football gatherings quite frequently, stock up early and watch for deals on things like chips and soda.
Before my son was even born he already had a full Eagles wardrobe! Now, Daddy and Carter have matching Eagles jerseys that they wear almost every Sunday! Here’s my son on game day modeling his Eagles jersey!
When we’re not at home watching football, we’re tailgating and the watching the Eagles in person at the stadium! Wet-Nap are our No. 1 must-have when tailgating! For the game this past weekend, I headed to my local Wal-mart and picked up Tyson Any’Tizers – Hot Wings Buffalo Style for me and Honey BBQ Seasoned for my boys! We all know boys and food could get messy, so we also had Wet-Nap on hand for all the messes!
