Tiffany Harris, co-founder of Layla Grayce, has had a long time love affair with 1920s Art Deco architecture, fashion, and music. So when it was time to come up with a theme for her twin’s 1st birthday party, nothing seemed more fitting than a 1920’s Great Gatsby themed celebration! Channeling the style of Gatsby characters Daisy and Nick, the whole family donned custom-made attire. Kirra looked absolutely adorable in a vintage flapper dress, lace leggings, a faux fur wrap and a handmade feather headpiece, while Cole was just oh-so handsome in a white pinstripe suit, a handmade newsboy cap, and an adorable striped bowtie.

The Doctors House Museum and Gazebo in Glendale, Calif., was the perfect backdrop for the festive outdoor garden party. Guests were encouraged to dress in Roaring 20s attire, and upon arrival, they received strands of pearls and skimmer hats. A live barbershop quartet and Carmela Ice Cream, a local favorite, was on hand with their vintage cart serving up some old-fashioned sweets. Festive lawn games and 1920s-themed drinks were also featured.

The twins each had their own stylish “smash cake” which featured Art Deco feather frosting and tiny pennant banners. Guests were treated to blue and pink macarons, popcorn in pink bags, pink lemonade in mason jars and cotton candy. Tea sandwiches, pear endive salad cups, and apple pie pops were also enjoyed. Tonya Joy Photography was on hand to capture the gorgeous details and festive atmosphere.

  1. What an amazing looking party. I love Gatsby themed parties but never thought of one for a 1st Birthday party theme. The baby outfits look so cute too. Happy Birthday to Kirra and Cole!

  2. Absolutely, hands-down the cutest birthday party I have ever seen, I am constantly looking for ideas for my boys. I love it, love it, love it!
