Whimsical Winter Wonderland Party

winter-wonderland-holiday-birthday-party-01Anders Ruff styled this Whimsical Winter Wonderland Party using their winter wonderland printable collection. Using winter colors such as silver, blue and white, this theme is great for both winter or holiday parties! Becca Bond Photography captured all of the gorgeous details, including meringue pine tree snow globe favors (in mason jars with twine trim), German glass glittered snowflakes (out of antique book pages!), “Chocolate Snow” rimmed mint martinis with a red bird and peppermint garnish, and spray painted white tree branches with hanging snowflake cookies and hand sewn birds.

For the backdrop of the dessert table, they used antique windows found at an antique shop that they spray painted blue and aqua tones. They took fallen tree branches and painted them with a high gloss white spray paint and potted them in white pots. These were used as anchors for the sides of the table. Painted metal address numbers were painted and hung from the front of each tree pot. Birds and snowflake sugar cookies from Firefly Confections also hung from the branches.

For the desserts, they created a unique edible favor that was a stacked meringue tree snow globe. They stacked 3 meringues together (ombre shades of green and mint) and used white chocolate to stick them together. They placed them in an upside down mason jar with a dusting of powdered sugar and sat them on top of a bed of shredded coconut. The jars were embellished with a printable bird silhouette. The table also held long vessels filled with white Sixlets and snowflake cookie pops that were embellished with a printable party flag.

Mint chocolate martinis (non-alcoholic for the little guests) were displayed with a peppermint swizzle stick and printable bird silhouette on the rim. The rim was first dipped in white chocolate and then dipped in sanding sugar to look like snow or ice. These sat on a glittered aqua snowflake coasters made from a wooden ornament.

Instead of hot cocoa, they made chocolate mousse and displayed them in glass mugs with the red silhouette bird embellishment. A little woodland mushroom candy was placed on the edge with a toothpick. These also sat on a glittered aqua snowflake coaster made from a wooden ornament.

Cupcakes were displayed on a serving platter lined with coconut and painted pine cones. They topped them with ruffle matted printable party logos from their Winter Wonderland Collection.

The cake was a $10 white cake from Target and they embellished it with a printable “Winter Wonderland” topper and chocolate drawn trees.

A printable “Wonderland” Banner from their collection hung from the front of the buffet and included German glass glittered book page snowflakes. The book page snowflakes also embellished the antique windows that were stacked as the backdrop.

  1. What a great party! I noticed in the last photo that the young girl is holding a custom designed bag of instant hot chocolate. Where was that done? I love the idea of instant hot chocolate for the party favor!

    Thanks!
