Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Photo Shoot

valentines-party-diy-ideas-for-kidsWith Valentine’s Day right around the corner, what could possibly be more adorable than this awesome Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Photo Shoot?! Although it was technically a styled-inspiration shoot, it was VERY REAL for the four kids who got to attend the “party”!

Valentines-Day-Sweetheart-Styled-ShootStyling was done by Elizabeth Duncan Events, while the photography for the shoot was provided by Katie Browne Photography. Colors for this Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Party were overtly Valentine’s Day themed! Red, White, and Pink were the main hues for this event.

Valentines-Shoot-DecorInspiration for this party came from the event coordinators’ sweet names they call their little ones. “Sugarpie, Puddin’ Pop, Cupcake, etc…”. They decided that of course it would have to be a Valentine’s Day Styled Shoot for their sweethearts! This is a wonderfully designed and playful party for kids to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Valentines-Shoot-DetailsThe decor reflected savvy finds, charming custom orders, and delightful DIY projects that anyone can pull off! This team loves developing inspiration and ideas for petite parties (baby showers, kids parties, etc.) that are cohesive, creative, and easily accessible. Most of their DIY party ideas come from what they already have to utilize in their home (construction paper from a craft box, tissue paper saved from wrapping gifts, etc.). Other affordable sources were used, such as the $1 bin at their local Target or sales at local craft stores.

Valentines-Photo-Shoot-Sweets-Table Valentines-Day-TreatsOf course, lots of sweets were served at this sweetheart party! Yum! The “Sweetheart” Table included mini cherry pies, cupcakes, heart-shaped shortbread cookies, creamy milkshakes, and strawberry-vanilla puddin’ pops, which were provided by Kendalls Cakes. Delicious!

Valentines-CupcakesLook at those delicious-looking cupcakes! Yum!

Valentines-Day-Party-InvitationsOne of the best elements from this party were the gorgeous invitations that were created by Sarah Bohl Designs and Mary Destefano.  They were absolutely adorable and perfectly whimsical for a fun, kid-themed Valentine’s Day event.

Photo-Shoot-Tin-Can-Phones Valentines-Sweetheart-Photo-ShootFavorite elements from this styled shoot include the DIY tassel pom-poms, the white-brick photo booth backdrop, the conversation heart photo booth props, and (the stylists’ favorite and ours too!) the tin-can telephones (Instructions found below)! So many wonderful ideas and what great DIY projects!

Valentines-Photo-Shoot-Crafts Valentines-Kids-CraftsThe styled shoot also provided a craft table where the kids could make their own Valentine’s for friends and family.

Photo-Booth-PropsAnd of course … the photo booth was a huge hit! Everyone sure loved the fun that was provided! This was a great styled shoot to show how much fun a Valentine’s Day party could be for young kids and parents alike!
