I Love You to the Moon and Back Baby Shower

Baby showers are such a fun and exciting event!  Anticipation, advice, and nerves are all in the air, but so is excitement, love, and beauty!  I personally love baby showers that are Gender Neutral.  There is something about not quite knowing what’s in store that creates an unidentified buzz in the air for the parents-to-be and everyone around them!  This gender neutral theme was perfect and such a sweet and lovely event for everyone.  The I Love You to the Moon and Back Baby Shower was everything the Mom to Be was hoping for!

To make the theme stand out, there was an assortment of colors and shapes sprinkled throughout the event.  Stars, the moon & hearts, along with gold chevron were the “stars” of the event!  The event planner, dear jeni, did such a great job setting the stage for such a sweet and down to earth event!

When dear jeni reflected on the graphic art, they knew they had to use star lanterns and circle lanterns and attach some crystal hanging birds to mimic the mobile on the invite. Gold accents with Chevron runners were added to give this baby shower that added Pop and touch of class.

The main printable was such a beautiful statement piece right on the dessert table.  I Love You to the Moon and Back is such a perfect theme for a baby shower like this, and everyone knows the children’s book with the same name (at least many parents do who end up reading this book over and over and over and over!).

The graphic art for games and thank you’s all coordinated for the special day. Near the gender guess table dear jeni added a sweet touch – coordinated candy in dishes that spelled B A B Y.  So cute!  And that diaper cake?  Super creative!

There was also a “wish upon a star” for advice and well-wishes for the baby on the wish tree, which kept the theme on-going.

Of course, the cake had to be original – there was one layer that was sprinkled confetti and the other was a solid gold with a cluster of star fondant to be scattered on the top of this gold layer cake. The heart drop represented the ” I love you to the Moon and back” theme.  Such a lovely cake!

The desserts were perfection!  What a great dessert table this baby shower had!  The Sweet Tooth Bar and La Petite Macaron did a great job complementing the cake and of course, everyone raved about how delicious everything was!

The flowers used were outrageous! Billy balls (crespidea) green hydrangeas white snowberrys, yellow touchs of matracania buttons with lavender accents of astilbe and buddleia left the guests in awe.

As the shower wound down, guests were treated to macarons by La Petite Macaron,Inc gift-wrapped in a beautiful bag for everyone to take home from the event!  Yum!  It was so beautiful and truly created a whimsical and sweet baby shower!  What a perfect day!

  1. I’m actually planning a baby shower for my daughter in law & my first grandbaby. She wants the same theme, love you to the moon and back. I think it’s a perfect theme for a baby shower or a little ones birthday party. I have a question about your wishing tree. My daughter in law wants one too. She wants paper kraft stars & the guest write on those then hang them. I’ve seen a lot of wish trees done differently but none like yours. What are the items being hung on the tree? They look so pretty, reminds me of star. Perfect for the theme! Thanks
