Glamping Birthday Party

When a 10-year-old is looking to have a unique party with her girlfriends for her birthday, what could she possibly want?!?!  After some time thinking with Mom, this little lady decided she wanted a Glamping Birthday Party!  How exciting and what a fun theme to plan for! 

Mom started with invitations and it grew fast from there. 

Every “camper” got their own personal tent that went home with them, along with a goodie bag filled with camping accessories, such as a compass, binoculars, camping rubber ducks, and flashlights.

A Pinterest tutorial was used for the tent frames.  Thank goodness for Pinterest!  After the frames were complete, Mom measured and bought different fabrics from Jo-Ann Fabric, that coordinated with the invitations for the tents.  How cute!  All of the tents were placed in the family’s living room and outdoor lights were strung throughout the room, as well.  There were cute little name plates for each tent that were strung with twine, so each girl would know where to set up camp at her “campsite.”

With the spare wood from the tent frames that was purchased from Lowe’s, cute signs were made for the yard that said “Camp LB”, along with directions to different activities.

A chuppah was rented from KSR Designs and a table was placed underneath for the “Glamping” feel.  The girls had grape juice from champagne glasses with a camp-style dinner that pumped up the “glam!”

Dinner was true camping fare with hotdogs, baked beans and chips, which were in cute little paper trays. The chargers under each plate were cut from a log and they also had larger pieces that were cut for the fabulous cake. What a unique detail for a wonderful camping event!

The cake was created by Lisa of LisaMae Cakes.  What a wonderful job of creating an awesome cake that was delicious as it was pretty!  Such a unique cake that truly fit the theme to a tea!

Snacks of goldfish served in cans wrapped with different fabric, paper, and twine welcomed the girls to the glamping party.  There also was a camp schedule on the back of each invitation so everyone knew the itinerary of the evening!

Each girl has their own Camp LB shirts, where the party then moved outside for outdoor activities such as a parachute toss, blowing bubbles, and dinner.

A scavenger hunt also was on the docket after dinner, which was complete with cute cards with twine pencils from World Market on each card.  The party guests sang Happy Birthday to the birthday girl, served cake and ice cream, and then completed the scavenger hunt afterwards.

What Glamping Party would be complete without s’mores?  No fear … there was a s’mores area complete with a s’mores bar, fire pit, hay bales for seating, roasting sticks, and of course … campfire stories!  After s’more, the party retreated back inside for a movie, a midnight snack of popcorn served in cute little bags, and finally… bedtime!

In the morning, after everyone gathered up their belongings and their fun goody bags, there was a breakfast set-up with OJ, muffins, and fruit, and alas … the party was complete.  What a great idea and such a fun theme for a girl’s birthday party.  We’re sure this birthday girl had a ton of fun and a great job was done on all of the details and ideas for the party.  Amazing!
