Sea of Love Wedding Inspiration

Hello Beauties, Melissa here from MLM Worldwide Event Planning. Winter is in full swing but I have been dreaming of lazy summer days by the beach. So naturally, this week’s wedding day inspiration is all about coral and turquoise touches by the sea side.

Having your ceremony right on the water’s edge is a magical and memorable experience for you and your wedding guests.  Encourage everyone to take their shoes off and feel the sand between their toes. The sound of the waves crashing onto the shore is very romantic, but can be quite loud so be sure to have a sound system and microphones so that even your guests in the back row can hear your vows. Also, be sure to look into the tide report for your wedding day to ensure you are far enough up on the beach. You wouldn’t want the tide to creep up unexpectedly and cause a mini emergency.

Combining rustic elements, like a driftwood table, with shiny chrome lanterns creates a laid back, glamorous feeling.  If you aren’t able to find rustic tables at your local rental company then incorporate branches of driftwood into your centerpieces. Take advantage of your surroundings and have your bridal party pose in the surf.  The bright coral dresses look beautiful against the deep turquoise waters.

Give your guests the option of kicking off their shoes and putting on a pair of flip flops. They will be thankful to keep their shoes neat during the ceremony and then be able to wear them as they comfortably dance the night away. A great way to cut costs is to use a neutral table cloth included in your venue pricing and then use vibrant vases and flowers to make the space fun and colorful.

If you aren’t able to have your wedding right on the sand but have your heart set on sea side decor, there are really great ways to bring the beach to you. The cake is an easy way to incorporate a subtle wave motif using rolled fondant. Turquoise up-lighting and gobo projections in a wave pattern also helps to bring the ocean inside.  You can also use real (or faux) coral on the tables with turquoise tinted votive holders for a fun and festive centerpiece.  Plus, you can package a small treat in a woven box, stick a custom label on top and then tie with a jute string for the perfect, beachy thank you.
