Rustic Romance Wedding Inspiration

Hello Beauties, Melissa here from MLM Worldwide Event Planning, and I am sharing some rustic, glamorous, and romantic wedding day inspiration with you today. Incorporating rustic elements into your wedding creates a natural, effortless feeling that will make your guests feel relaxed and ready to party into the night. I love adding touches of glamour by mixing metals and mirror accents with the natural pieces made of wood, burlap or twine.

Rustic Romance

Rustic wedding style has been popular for a few years now but it can still feel fresh and modern. Create burlap pillows for the ceremony space and use a modern monogram for an unexpected touch. Birch logs with glass candle holders look really beautiful down the aisle and you can also use the logs around your reception space once the ceremony is over.

An antique desk found at a local vintage shop is the perfect place to display your wedding programs. You can also put your guest book or seating cards on the desk if you aren’t using programs at your ceremony.  An economical choice for your bridesmaid’s bouquets is baby’s breath. It was once only used as filler in arrangements but can make a lovely impact when a larger amount is bunched together.

Natural Glamour

Finding a venue with a rustic barn type feeling would make a wonderful reception space. Be sure to string twinkle lights and hang sparkling chandeliers to give the room a glamorous glow as the evening goes on. Fill a wooden chest with ice and load up your favorite soft drinks and bottles of beer for your guests to grab as they please. Your rustic wedding should be laid back, and allowing guests to help themselves is just the right touch.

Set up seating areas around the venue property. This will allow your guests to have intimate conversations or take a moment for an adorable photo op. Be sure to create a custom hashtag so that you can find all of the photos on Instagram and Twitter.  There are also great apps, like Wedding Snap that gather your images into one location online for you to print into photobooks once the day is over.

Lounge style seating is very popular at receptions and a great way to give it a rustic makeover is to create the seating out of actual hay bales. Be sure to cover the bales with fabric so that the hay doesn’t irritate your guest’s skin. Use pillows with your wedding motif or monogram for even more comfortable luxury. Seat your guests at long family-style tables during dinner with you and your groom sharing a large seat at the head of the table. This will allow you to be closer to your guests than if you were sitting at a sweetheart table, plus it encourages conversation. Make the table arrangements low and unobtrusive to let your guests talk across the table, not just side by side.

A fantastic trend in wedding cakes is to leave them “naked,” meaning the frosting is left off so that the layers are exposed. This is a great idea if you or your groom don’t love the surgery covering or if you want a natural, elegant feeling to your cake. You can also have a dessert table set up of your cherished family recipes or fresh baked pies in flavors like apple and blueberry.
