Puppy Party Celebration

Fur babies get to celebrate birthdays, too, right?!?! Well this little pooch, Sailor Bean, certainly did! What a lucky little girl! Since Sailor is this Momma’s Fur Child, she did what any loving parent would do for their child on their birthday, CELEBRATE! Crystal of Recycled Love Story is an event and floral designer, and because of her profession, she takes extra joy in making the day special for her little pup. How sweet! What better way to spend a nice afternoon in sunny California than to spend it at a park for a Puppy Party Celebration!

Puppy-Party-CelebrationSailor’s birthday parties are always a fun – a casual picnic with lots of friends at her favorite park. This year’s color theme was pink & gold and with a name like Sailor it’s easy to add in a touch of something nautical!

Doggy-DrinksEach pup in attendance (yup… it was a Puppy Party!) got a custom made party hat and Sailor wore her birthday crown.

Doggy-Party-Guests

Doggy-Party-BuddiesThere was lots of great food and snacks for everyone to enjoy while the pups were running around burning off all of that super energy!

Doggy-Party-Food

doggy-party-thank-youWhat a great spread! Everything was set up beautifully!

Puppy-Head-TableJessica of The Bake Boutique made two cakes, a people cake and … you guessed it – a doggie cake! The large anchor cake was a banana spice cake with cream cheese frosting and the smaller doggie cake was a combination of some of Sailor’s favorite flavors: carrot, banana, and cinnamon cake with a peanut butter filling, along with a cottage cheese/cream cheese frosting. Sounds yummy to us!

Doggy-CakeThis year was extra special because Crystal has recently decided to start a doggie ice cream business, Sailor Bean’s Push-Pups, which will be making its debut in Summer 2014. That means that all of the furry party-goers happily got to be taste testers. Cake and ice cream?! What lucky little (and big) doggies! Becca Rillo Photography was also on hand to capture the many smiles and wagging tails.

Doggy-TreatsWhen asked about how the event turned out, Crystal had this to say …”What can I say, I love my dog”! We love it! What a great outdoor, offbeat party!
