Modern 50th Surprise Birthday

From Crystal Adair-Benning of Distinct Occasions: John was having a milestone birthday. His wife, Christine, couldn’t wait to celebrate it with him – in style! Secretly, she contacted me months before the big event to arrange a big surprise for him – a modern 50th surprise birthday party with all of his favorite people and things. 50 guests for your 50th … a pretty sweet celebration!

Hosted at TIFF Bell Lightbox’s Malaparte, we designed a masculine design featuring succulents, floral sculptures of John’s beloved pets, and a 50 inch memory walk down the corridor leading to the event space. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal from Oliver & Bonacini before celebrating with cake from The Caketress, dancing along with DJ Michael Coombs and an over-the-top cigar bar from Correnti. Now THAT’S how you do a birthday, if I do say so myself!
