To begin, take a 12×12 canvas and some printable transfer sheets. Then pick out a font and customize the size. This is when you will decide on a placement for the letters and words. Lay them out on the floor first.

You can choose a color scheme that goes with the baby’s nursery.

Once you get everything sized, it’s time to print. But wait, there was a problem! April realized after all of her work that all of her text needed to be mirrored to print onto the iron-on transfer sheets. Luckily, her husband stepped in and worked a Photoshop miracle involving PDF’s and googling.

April double checked the spellings and stats and then heated up the iron. The canvas, although fabric, was not the best material to use iron-on-transfer sheets. So it didn’t look perfect. But the solution was Mod Podge – every crafter’s go-to.

  1. Thanks so much for the feature! While the project was not perfect, I know my friend adores the canvas and has it hanging in her sweet son’s bedroom. =)
