Monkey First Birthday Party
This Monkey First Birthday Party is too adorable for words! Mom knew she wanted to do a monkey party, but not a Sock Monkey theme, so she went on Etsy to search for party favors and came across a Silly Monkey 1st Birthday Theme from A Sweet Celebration. Tristan’s nursery is blue and green, so the blue and green polka dots on the party decor matched perfectly!
The party decor included a Happy Birthday banner and I Am 1 banner for the birthday boy’s high chair!
The invitation matched the party decor perfectly with blue and green polka dots and a monkey with a banana!
Guests got a first look into the party theme and decor from the welcome sign on the front door!
The matching first year photo banner featured adorable photos of Tristan’s first year, including him looking adorable in a monkey costume!
Keeping with the theme and decor, Mom added some polka dot plates and napkins as well as blue mason jars with matching polka dot paper straws. She also made a tissue paper tassel banner with coordinating colors.
Green polka dot paper straws and blue mason jars were a great addition to the party decor!
The cake table included a gorgeous tablecloth from Cloth Connection.
The monkey cake was banana bread flavor (Tristan’s favorite food is banana). Guests also enjoyed fun monkey cookies and cake pops.
A fun monkey topper made the cake complete.
Cake pops were given to guests as favors.
An adorable matching party hat was made for the birthday boy!
Polka dot paper rosettes and tissue pom poms also made the party festive!
Small die-cut papers in the shape of bananas were given to guests to write a message for the birthday boy. Mom included these in his scrapbook to keep for a wonderful memory!
