This Modern Jungle/Safari party was a blast to plan. My son was turning one and I knew I wanted to do a jungle theme. I turned to Pinterest, my new obsession, to get some inspiration. I found a lot of jungle themed parties, but I wanted something different. I was seeing a lot of animal prints and neutral colors. I then turned to Etsy, my other obsession. That’s when I came across 62Cards and immediately fell in love with their modern jungle party decor. It was exactly what I was looking for! The theme of the party was based on a green, yellow, and orange color scheme. The cake and cookies were inspired by the party decor and a custom diaper cake from Saving By Design made this party complete!
My son was a lion for Halloween, so I thought it would be perfect to include that photo on his invite. The invitations were designed by 3PeasPrints.
For the centerpieces, I found green and yellow flower pots at the Dollar Tree, added a cute orange ribbon with white polka dots from Michaels to dress them up, then added the grass and adorable paper crafts.
For the banner we used photo clips from 62Cards. I loved the idea of showing how my son has grown from birth to twelve months (It went too fast!)
The cake was not only adorable, but delicious! Cathy of Truly Scrumptious did a great job designing the cake to match the animals on the party decor.
Kara of Saving By Design made the jungle themed diaper cake, which matched the party perfectly!
Jodi of Cakes By Jodi is an amazing talent when it comes to custom fondant decorations for cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. Her cake pops were also a hit among guests.
The kids went home with these cute animal cookie favors with matching tags made by Natebarn on Etsy. We had such a great time celebrating Carter’s first birthday. I don’t want him to grow up too fast, but I can’t wait to start planning next year’s party!
